Breaking News....
Chris Mac (Slomo's drummer) drove up to B.C. last night to see Canada's favorite sons, SLOAN...... Being the huge SLOAN fan that he is, he managed to get up on stage and sing The Good in Everyone with the band! Really, he did...

If you're reading this, and you've never given SLOAN a chance please go buy a couple of their records right now. Start with One Chord into Another, Twice Removed and Navy Blues.

Thank you

Slomo Rabbit Kick CD Release Party!!!

When: Wednesday November 5th - 9:00pm
Where: The Crocodile Cafe
Who Else: The Capillaries and Taurus Pedals

That last show was just a warm up for the real thing...... you may have heard a rumor that Slomo was playing Thursday the 6th for a certain band on Kill Rock Stars... well, that was just that, a rumor. Wednesday is the night you wanna go out.

As normal, if you get there a little early chances are fairly good I'll buy you a beer. If you email me the day after the show, and I can't tell you what kind of shoes you were wearing, then I'll owe you another beer. Deal?

Wanna help out Skrocki Records, but you don't know how? Well, as I've said before you can buy your Skrocki Records releases from your favorite independent record store.... or you can buy directly from our distributor. Yup, Revolver has a mail-order division of their company, called Midheaven. Slomo Rabbit Kicks debut cd is available and ready to ship, just click on the link below.

October 7th has come and past, that means if you haven't gone out and "bought", yes purchased not downloaded off the net for free, the new Death Cab for Cutie record (Transatlanticism), you need to go do that now.
Although you should go buy it at your favorite local independent record store (so they can make a buck too), you can buy it at:
http://www.barsuk.com
Thanks,
Robbie
Ps. Brian and I went and hit baseballs yesterday... it was a blast.

What's next? Funny you should ask....

Ever since I came home with the newly mastered record from the Revolutionary Hydra, Liny Boy's been talking about wanting a studded collar. The Hydra boys are all about rock these days. Who do they think they are, SLOAN? Anyhow, The Peefs will be Skrocki Records release number 002. Expect it in time for the holidays.

I'm extremely proud (as in a proud father sort of way) to announce that number 003 will be the highly anticipated full length release from So Many Dynamos.... straight outta the midwest, these kids freaking rawk! I mean come on, they got an old guy like me to shot gun a beer this past summer.... that's a tuff thing to do. We're hoping that this one will be done in time to take with you to "Lauderdale" on spring break.

If you wanna be release number 004, you may have to fight Jay Hydra for it.... watch out for his nails though.

Live at The Crocodile Cafe
Slomo Rabbit Kick
Senate Arcade
Jodie Hates the World
Tuesday 10/07/03 - 9:00pm $5

Alright, it's only five measly bucks and Slomo is playing first. What's your excuse? Come on down to The Crocodile and see the show! If you get there a little early, chances are I'll buy you a drink. No guarantees but chances are good. In addition to good old fashion pop music, we'll have Slomo cd's for sale at the show! Yup, that's right.... no more of those limited edition cdr's, but the real meal deal. If you haven't seen this baby yet you're in for a treat. Our man Brian did the artwork and it is absolutely freaking amazing.

After 13 months of toiling day in and day out at The Hall of Justice, the new Revolutionary Hydra is complete. Yes, done, finished, stick a fork in my bloated belly, it's done. If you don't know yet, Skrocki Records has agreed to release this sucker. Friday afternoon a couple of the Hydra boys and Ed Brooks (mastering wizard) spent 5 hours making Jay sound like Joe, Joe sound Jay, Bart sound like Chris and Robbie sound Nathan. The boys will take a few days to make sure that all of those final tweaks are okay and we'll be ready to match this sucker up with the artwork for manufacturing.

Art work you ask? Once again, The Hydra boys have called in their old friend Ryin off the bench to help out. We're quite confident that like the Red Sox game last night, he's going to blast one over the centerfield wall in the bottom of the 12th. If you're not familiar with Ryin's work, check out The Antiphony from The Hydra. We're not quite sure what he's been working on, but from the questioning that he's been giving Skrocki Records about budget, we're quite sure it's going to be something exciting. Especially when he asked me if I was familiar with the Houdini 7".... what's he going to do, put a working space ship in every cd? If so, I better take a 2nd mortgage out on the house.

It's like Christmas around HQ today..... A bunch of big boxes containing Slomo records showed up on the doorstep. Linus McDougal was so excited he grabbed the first cd I pulled out of the box, right from my hand, and sat there holding it in his mouth starring at me.

I reprimanded the boy at first because that's the job of Barsuk the dog, down the street. Then I realized that him posing in that manner was like the little kid playing football and posing in the Heisman trophy stance after making the touchdown.

Anyhow... cd's are available here in the Skrocki Store, via Paypal... but if you really want to support us you'll request your local favorite indie record store to obtain you a copy through our distributor; Revolver. Don't bug them quite yet though; Revolver won't have their copies for a few days. For you local Seattle kids, Sonic Boom will be the preferred store of choice but we'll do our best to get copies in the hands of the other fine shops around town. I'd expect copies to be available right around that predicted release date of October 14th.
